Magic Kingdom’s Sleepy Hollow - Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle

I’ve been wanting to check out the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle from Sleepy Hallow after reading the Disney Food Blog’s post back in November 2011.  The chicken breast is covered in a sweet and spicy Asian sauce, and topped with creamy coleslaw and fresh arugula.

 

I was let down with the spicyness of the chicken. I guess what I really wanted was a buffalo chicken waffle sandwich. I felt the sauce was 80% sweet and 20% spicy.  All in all I would order this again and I would love to get a side of the tasty coleslaw!

 

The next time I’m in the park early I am going to stop by and try out the new breakfast ham and cheese omelet waffle sandwich.

    I had this sandwich on our last day in the park and have dreamed about it often! I love the favors of the creamy slaw, the very maple sweet syrup a hint of spice, the peppery arugula , crunchy warm chicken, all held together by a fluffy waffle. I so hope this menu does not change before I get back this March . It will be where I run to as soon as we get off the plane.
